Mother & Son Spend Holidays Free of Drug Addiction

“…Being at Narconon was like coming out of a bad dream.”

Before he began using drugs like xanax, marijuana, and opiates like oxycodine and abusing alcohol, my son Bill loved family life, school and the great outdoors.

As a young boy he went fishing, camping and white water rafting. Everyone was instantly drawn to him. He was smart, handsome, and funny.

Suddenly everything changed for the worse. Toward the end of high school Bill started “recreational drinking”. It was downhill from there. In college he began using pot, xanax & opiates.

Before my eyes my son disappeared. His smile, personality and joy of life were gone. Family holidays would come and go and Bill was nowhere to be found. He dropped out of college and could not hold a job. When the phone rang I panicked thinking it was the police, hospital or morgue. Bill overdosed on drugs several occasions and was rushed to hospitals. He was arrested a few times on drug related charges. We tried out patient rehab, therapists, medication, but nothing worked.

Then a friend told me about the Narconon program. Her son had gone through the Narconon California residential rehab program and found success. I talked to my son; he was willing to go and promised to work hard and do his best to get well.

The Narconon staff were very kind and understanding, and the Program was challenging but effective. He said “being at Narconon was like coming out of a bad dream." Little by little I got my son back. That was two years ago and I am here to tell you that prayers get answered, and miracles happen! My son is clean and sober, enjoying family work and life again!

That first December after Bill graduated the Narconon Program was the first time in so many years that I enjoyed the holidays. Narconon has given me the best Christmas present ever; They’ve given me back my son.

Thank You Narconon! Jeanne.”
